Cambridge in the snow!

Yipee! Snow! Last year there was a pretty nice snow storm the week before Christmas and then nothing the rest of the season… this makes for a really bleak January and February, when the monotony of grey skies and cold wind can chafe the cheeks and the heart. Alas, this year, we missed out on snow entirely and I had almost given up hope… until last night.

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland like we southern Oklahomans rarely get to see. There was about 4 inches of snow piled on top of my car, and plenty more everywhere else. We spent most of the day around the house and in the garden, though we wandered out for short walk to see the river. We took a lot of pictures… here’s a selection:
