Post baby look
The Hollywood Housewife is hosting a link up over on her blog and I thought ‘Why not give it a go?’ So… you’re supposed to show your summer fashion style, which, if you know me, is kind of humorous because I don’t really have a style on the best of days, especially this summer. Lately I’m living in a random assortment of tank tops and one pair of jeans, because, well, these jeans fit. And most things in my closet don’t. I’m still in that awkward in-between phase where most of my pre-baby clothes are just a little too snug to be comfortable, but maternity clothes make it look like I’m wearing a table cloth. And that’s no good. Here’s me today:
The one piece of jewelry I’ve been wearing since July is this necklace (find it here, Hi Vicki!). You’ve probably seen it before when I wrote about a few fun things I found on Etsy. My sweet hubs bought it for me and gave it to me while I was still in the birthing room after Asher arrived. It’s dainty enough for me to wear everyday and special enough that I want to.
And although this has little to do with fashion, little A is my new permanent accessory, especially today when all he wanted to do was hang out with mama in the sling or in the rocker. Lately I’ve sported a few different slings lent to me by my friend Bonnie, as well as the Baby Bjorn, the Ergo, the Moby, and another little peanut sling… Asher and I definitely have our preferences when it comes to carriers, but that’s a whole other post.
If you look closely, you can see that Asher has a bit of a mohawk happening. :)
Check out what others are wearing this summer here.
You look SO cute and fabulous for having such a little baby. I think I wore velour jogging pants/pajama pants/maternity jeans for at least 2 months after Owen was born. :) I can only hope I look as fabulous as you after this one is born! :)
ReplyDeletei just love that last picture! beautiful! and i agree with the above commenter, you look amazing for just having had a baby!! i was definitely still rocking maternity pants at that stage of the game.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your friend Beth - Ilove the last picture - you are such a beautiful mom (and that pic is so emo LOL). But also - golly, you look good. We DEFINITELY got the right bridesmaid dress for you... I'm still a little nervous its going to be too big! :) Love the pics, Candice! And the post. Write again soon!
ReplyDeleteI cannot BELIEVE you that you just had a baby in those pictures. You look fantastic!! And I normally shy away from saying anything about a person's weight or shape during or after pregnancy (because eh, you know?) but I can't help myself this time.
ReplyDelete(thanks for participating in the link up!)
You look AMAZING! Like, if you were a Hollywood starlet I would think you had tricked us all and had a surrogate. Henry is adorable, and we could not be happier for y'all!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I heartily agree. You are GORGEOUS, Candice! And I love that necklace. What a sweet way to give it to you!
